Kempf opens a new Teflon® coating line for Industrial Bakery Solutions
Kempf GmbH, a partner of the “Teflon® coatings for Industrial Bakery Solutions” initiative, recently opened its new plant in Rohrbach, Germany, with a certified Teflon® coating production line for high quality baking moulds and trays. Fully automated, the production site has the capacity to coat more than 2,500 square metres per day of bakeware with Teflon® nonstick surfaces for industrial bakeries.

New Viton® fluoroelastomer resists aggressive organic acids
Chemours announced the commercial availability of Viton® VTR-9307, a new, bisphenol-cured fluorinated rubber pre-compound for the production of fluoroelastomer (FKM) parts with long-term resistance to hot acidic gases and condensates. Chemours is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DuPont and is on track to be spun off on July 1, 2015, which will create a new independent public company.

Water-based, low-VOC coating solution based on Teflon® PTFE protects fasteners from corrosion
DuPont has developed a new water-based, low-VOC coating solution based on Teflon® PTFE for fasteners in highly corrosive environments. This easy to handle one-coat system is particularly suitable for applications requiring very high corrosion resistance, dry lubrication and anti-seize properties to prevent galling.

ECCtreme® ECA from DuPont is a new family of melt-processable high-temperature perfluoroplastics (HTP) that can withstand continuous-use temperatures of up to 300 °C.

Waste-to-energy plant at Laogang/China:
Gas-gas heat exchangers with AlWaFlon® fluoroplastics tubes made of Teflon® PTFE prove resistant to corrosion
Thanks to the use of Teflon® PTFE based AlWaFlon® fluoroplastic tubes and a fluoroplastic linings, heat exchangers supplied by Wallstein Ingenieur GmbH of Recklinghausen/Germany withstand the attack of highly corrosive media released when flue gas is cooled down to well below the acid dewpoint temperature.

Minimising maintenance costs and downtime with bearings ‘lubed-for-life’ using Krytox® AUT 2E45 grease
Krytox® AUT 2E45 is a high performance grease from DuPont with proven lubed-for-life capability in industrial electric motor ball bearings. Unlike most conventional products, Krytox® greases do not oxidise, are water-resistant, non-flammable, and chemically inert. Krytox® AUT 2E45 offers excellent long-term lubrication for sealed ball-bearings in electric motors up to 200 horsepower (circa 150 KW).
